Bio-Medical Devices, Inc has its corporate
headquarters in
Nick Herbert, President and CEO, founded the
company in 1989. Mr. Herbert was soon joined by his current partners and
board members, Bradford Hack, M.D., and Mr. Ben Trainer. The three
individuals with diverse professional experience lend expertise in all
aspects of the business from the early design phase to the actual
product distribution.
Among the first products to be designed and
developed by the company was the Steri-Shield helmet and toga system for
use in the operating room environment. This unique product quickly
established itself as the standard in providing overall protection for
the orthopedic surgical team. From 1994 forward, the Stryker Corporation
continued the ownership and distribution of the
Steri-Shield system to the hospital surgery departments worldwide. While
Bio-Medical Devices, Inc. continues to manufacture components for
Stryker, it also continues to serve the manufacturing needs of other
notable corporations, such as Johnson and Johnson, Medtronic, ConMed,
and others. Our design and manufacturing expertise has produced numerous
other products ranging from staple guns and biological waste machines to
innovative bone cement delivery systems.

All Bio-Medical Devices products are audited and certified to meet the rigorous standards of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations (GMP), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and all our manufacturing is ISO Certified, 13485 ver 2003.
